On March 18th, CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2023 closed in Las Vegas, Nevada. As a world-renowned construction machinery exhibition, the show had great success with a record-breaking 139,000 visitors. The exhibition, which covered 3 million square feet of exhibit space, showcased over 2,400 exhibitors, a 10.5% increase from the previous year. Attendees from 133 countries were able to see the latest innovative products in the construction industry.

Despite the pandemic impact as compared to 2020, the visitor numbers were up by 6%, with over 24,000 attendees from outside the USA, representing 17% of the total number of attendees. The event saw an increased focus on sustainable technologies and products, including battery-powered compact machines, hydrogen engines, and electric powertrains.

In addition, there were several electric and autonomous pieces displayed by Volvo Construction Equipment, while Caterpillar showcased four battery electric machines and prototype batteries for off-road equipment. JCB also stood out with its hydrogen combustion engine. Companies such as AT&T and smaller businesses like Blue Vigil presented innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of the construction industry. The next ConExpo-Con/Agg and IFPE are set to take place at the same Las Vegas venue on March 3-7, 2026.
